About the Friends

Our Mission

The purpose of this organization shall be to maintain an association of persons interested in the library; to focus public attention on the library; to help publicize the library’s resources and services; to receive and encourage gifts, endowments and bequests to the library; and to lend other support where needed.

What do we do?

We used to typically hold 1-2 book sales each year – however, with the opening of the new library building in late 2013, we now have a permanent display area/bookstore just inside the main doors, so now books are available year-round at the library – so stop by and check out the selection!

We will occasionally offer special sales, raffles or other fundraisers as time and efforts allow. Check out the library for more info!

The money raised from the book sales and raffles is used to support library programs such as the Vacation (Summer) Reading Program, Pre-School Storytime and other day-to-day activities and materials not provided by the local and regional systems/supporters. Click the “Projects” tab for some examples of our past involvement.
